L-carnitine can transport fatty acids to the mitochondria, with the consequent production of energy. Its ability to increase metabolic efficiency in the use of lipids and in particular the increase of the possibility of burning body fat during exercise, is particularly appreciated by athletes both in endurance and strength training. Choline is a molecule essential to the body. Our body can synthesize it only partially and it is therefore necessary to introduce it into the body via the diet. The coline used in 3CBURN+ is Balchem’s VitaCholine®. VLDLs are composed of an inner core of lipids and an outer layer of phospholipids. As a precursor of the phospholipid phosphatidylcholine, free choline is a required raw material to make VLDL. Without adequate levels of free choline, transport slows and fats will begin to build up within the liver. According to several studies, choline also has the ability to prevent damage to the liver (hepatoprotective properties) that can be caused by hepatotoxic (damaging to liver cells) drugs as well as anti-inflammatory and cardioprotective drugs. An adequate choline intake will lead to a reduction in inflammatory marker concentrations and inflammatory cytokines concentrations, both of which are involved in the inflammation process. 

Finally, caffeine can improve the use of fat to produce energy. Caffeine promotes the release of epinephrine that stimulates the release of the stored fat, and increases cyclic AMP that activates enzymes such as lipase. A better use of fat during physical exercise allows saving muscle glycogen that is limited and extremely connected to the aerobic performance. It also has a thermogenic effect. Caffeine can stimulate the central nervous system, reducing fatigue but also blocking adenosine that has a calming effect on nerve cells. Moreover, it probably decreases the production of lactic acid that is responsible for the feeling of fatigue.
