Vitamin C (or ascorbic acid) is a potent antioxidant, used in sports to protect muscles from damage induced by training. It helps prevent the damage caused by free radicals, produced by high oxygen consumption during exercise and promotes recovery. Vitamin C also helps reduce stress-induced muscle damage caused by heavy loads and helps protect tissues, since it plays an active role in the synthesis of collagen, an essential substance for joint tissues. In addition, Vitamin C has a role in a number of other processes, including the absorption of iron, tyrosine metabolism, the synthesis of collagen, carnitine and peptide hormones, cytochrome P450 (liver enzyme) functionality, dopamine hydroxylation, bile acid and NO synthesis.

The quality and effectiveness of FREEZY VITAMIN C are supported by the presence of Camu-camu, a Vitamin C-rich shrub growing in the Peruvian and Brazilian rainforest. While the amount of Vitamin C in oranges may range from 1000ppm to 4000ppm, Camu-camu contains 50000ppm or 2g of Vitamin C per 100g of fruit. In addition, it contains a good amount of amino acids such as valine, leucine and serine and numerous flavonoids.
