HER BCAA+ is a branched chain amino acids (BCAA) supplement with the antioxidant power of cranberries and is ideal for female athletes who perform intense physical activity.

L-Leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine are three of the eight essential amino acids, which our bodies are not capable of producing and must therefore be taken in through diet or supplements. Their defining characteristic is that they are branched-chain and are thus called branched chain amino acids or, more commonly, BCAAs. Unlike some other amino acids that can only be metabolized in the liver, BCAAs can also be metabolized in the muscle, and can therefore be used as an energy substrate, thus preventing the use of muscle protein as an energy source. They are used as an performance-enhancers before exercise as anti-catabolic remedy to reduce damage induced by strenuous exercise, to reduce feelings of fatigue and muscle soreness, to speed up recovery times and enhance muscle growth. In the central nervous system the BCAAs compete with the essential amino acid tryptophan, decreasing the synthesis of serotonin, which contributes to feelings of fatigue. Preventing the catabolism of muscle protein and acting directly on feelings of fatigue, BCAAs are useful before, during and after all types of physical activity, including aerobic, anaerobic, mixed, as well as training periods of both short and long duration.

Cranberry is a plant characterized by its toning, diuretic, detoxifying and antioxidant properties. It is considered a super food due to its high content of vitamin C, vitamin E, flavonoids, polyphenols, fiber and mineral salts such as iron, calcium and manganese. It also contains active ingredients such as myrtillin, malic acid and citric acid. Because of the unique characteristics of its various components, cranberry is used for problems associated with capillaries because it strengthens the capillary walls.
