HER D-TOX+is a supplement specially designed for women. It is composed of choline, plant extracts, prebiotics and probiotics, which support the balance of the intestinal bacterial flora. The plant extracts in this supplement include Rhubarb and Ginger.

Ginger (Zinziber officinale Roscoe, part of the Zingiberaceae family) is a plant with a variety of beneficial characteristics. The part used is the ginger root, which is rich in essential oils, gingerol, zingerone, resins and mucilage. Traditionally used as a digestive and in a tonic liquor, it has been proven to be effective in relieving nausea, even during pregnancy. It also helps relieve menstrual cycle discomfort, which is often correlated with the gastrointestinal tract. Ginger is an excellent digestive aid and its active ingredients also fight against Helicobacter pylori, the bacteria responsible for stomach ulcers. Furthermore, ginger stimulates digestion and reduces bloating.

The coline used in HER D-TOX+ is Balchem’s VitaCholine®. VitaCholine® is the premier source of choline, made to the highest standards in order to deliver relevant and compelling health benefits. Considered as the global leader in choline, VitaCholine® has long been acknowledged as the quality choice for use in dietary supplements. Choline is an essential dietary nutrient. It supports cardiovascular health, the normal liver function and fat metabolism, it facilitates healthy metabolism and it helps the brain send faster messages throughout the nervous system. VitaCholine® is a verified Non-GMO project and is the first and only choline to attain USP Verified Dietary Ingredient status.  It also meets several important industry standards such as the most current USP (United States Pharmacopeia) monograph, the most current FCC (Food Chemicals Codex) monograph, it’s kosher and halal and it meets California Prop 65 requirements .Choline is involved in the synthesis of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is needed for the proper function of the parasympathetic nervous system. Acetylcholine is also involved in other essential processes such as: slowing down the heart rate, the stimulation of salivary gland secretion as well as the stimulation of gastric and pancreatic secretions. This neurotransmitter also supports intestinal peristalsis as well as all the general digestive functions. Choline is also vital for the integrity and fluidity of cell membranes because it functions as a precursor of the phospholipid phosphatidylcholine. Choline and Betaine together also contribute to normal cardiovascular function, counteracting the effects of homocysteine, which is associated with increased risk of cardiovascular problems such as atherosclerosis. Choline maintains normal liver function through the role it plays in fat metabolism. The liver produces VLDL, very low density lipoproteins, as a way to export fats out of the liver for storage or to muscles for immediate conversion into energy. VLDLs are composed of an inner core of lipids and an outer layer of phospholipids. As a precursor of the phospholipid phosphatidylcholine, free choline is a required raw material to make VLDL. Without adequate levels of free choline, transport slows and fats will begin to build up within the liver. According to several studies, choline also has the ability to prevent damage to the liver (hepatoprotective properties) that can be caused by hepatotoxic (damaging to liver cells) drugs as well as anti-inflammatory and cardioprotective drugs. An adequate choline intake will lead to a reduction in inflammatory marker concentrations and inflammatory cytokines concentrations, both of which are involved in the inflammation process.

Rhubarb (Rheum species) is rich in polyphenols, especially flavonoids, tannins and other nutritional derivatives. This plant, when administered in small doses has a digestive function because it is able to stimulate an increase in gastric juices in the stomach. However, if it is taken in higher doses it has an effect on the intestines by inhibiting the absorption of water and electrolytes and increasing the volume of the intestinal contents. This increase in volume leads to intestinal peristalsis and has a resulting laxative effect.

Another component of HER D-TOX+ is PreB Health®, a new prebiotic composed by 50 ingredients, all naturally grown in Southwestern Brazil. To create the highest level of concentrated nutrients, PreB Health® is fermented. The fermentation process used comes from ancient Japanese tradition, and is able to enhance the ingredients. It improves the overall nutritional value of the phyto-dense formula, it reduces toxins and anti-nutritive by-products. Fermentation adds new nutrients and increases the digestibility and the absorption of the ingredients. Thanks to this 3-step fermentation:

-       It retains all the original phytonutrients of the 50, usually destroyed when food is processed or manufactured;

-       It powerfully concentrates those vital nutrients;

-       It makes the nutrients much more bio-available;

-       It creates many new nutrients not otherwise obtainable;

-       It acts as a unique powerful prebiotic product.

PreB Health® works in the intestinal tract, the gut. It creates a unique mix of probiotics and prebiotics. It promotes the growth of probiotics, which have a main role in the absorption of nutrients and in the gut’s health. There is a critical balance between probiotics, that help bacteria that maintain the body’s health, and those who are bad for health. The diets of most people destroy the probiotic bacteria. This enables the bad bacteria to take over. Prebiotics feed the probiotics bacteria and that is why we need a prebiotic product added to the daily diet. As a result, PreB Health® promotes a regular and healthy gut, a healthy skin, new energy, an aid in achieving weight loss goals and body’s immunity.
