HGP+ is a superb support in very repetitive, intense but brief sports exercise. It contains creatine, maltodextrins, fenugreek, alfalfa, cordycepic acids, folic acid and vitamin B12.

Creatine hydrochloride is a widely bioavailable form of creatine, with high water solubility and molecular stability. The conversion rate of this creatinine is almost zero, increasing the percentage of creatine taken. Moreover, it gives no water retention and is also superb for an increase in ATP reserves, with a consequent increase in work load, strength and muscle volume. The energy supplied to produce ATP during and after physical exercise depends mainly on the quantity of Pcr deposited in the muscle. The ability to maintain the level of effort constant decreases as the Pcr supply decreases. By supplementing the creatine, the availability of Pcr is increased, allowing ATP to be synthesised during intense bur short exercise. Used in strength exercise that almost all athletes must do as part of their training. In particular in lactacid sports (all sprints both short and long), in combat sports and 'stop and go' sports, typically team sports (rugby, basket, hockey, football).

Maltodextrins are water-soluble complex carbohydrates derived from starch hydrolysis. Maltodextrins have a much lower osmolarity than dextrose, which means that the solution passes through the intestinal tract very quickly, thanks to the favourable osmotic pressure created. If the mixture is differentiated, the distribution over time of their absorption determines better oxidation, which means an effective cover of energy requirements during prolonged physical exercise. Apart from absorption times, the easiness of the digestive process is noticeable. The simpler this is, the less blood is required. The positive consequence of this is the increased availability of blood for muscles. Another fundamental characteristic for endurance athletes. The intake of these compounds, or carbohydrates in general, during prolonged exercise also allows better efficiency for the immune system and lowers the risk of traumas or accidents connected with the decrease in concentration or reflexes that occur when glycaemia lowers. Superb in post-workouts, to recover the lost sugars.

Among the other components, Fenugreek, well known for its tonic and stimulating properties. Rich in protein and fat, it contains minerals too (Iron, Copper, Magnesium, Manganese, Calcium) and vitamins (A, B and C). Thanks to the high content of fibre, it lowers glycaemia modulating sugar absorption.

Cordyceps sinensis is a medicinal fungus extremely rich in beta-glucans and polysaccharides. Known for its tonic-invigorating properties to increase body energy, stimulate the immune system and improve physical endurance. Cordyceps is very interesting for athletes. Scientific research has proven that taking Cordyceps allows increasing the ability to use oxygen and improving the production of ATP, which translates into energy. This is obtained thanks to the improvement of the aerobic cellular metabolism and therefore of the energy that can be used. Moreover, it has been proved that it improves the elimination of lactic acid after physical stress. Cordyceps has an important effect also on regulating glucose metabolism, both by regulating the levels of glycaemia and by increasing the peripheral sensitivity to insulin. Cordyceps effects are many. Among the most important, we find the reduction of total cholesterol and the increase in HDL, as well as an anti-ageing effect; it is useful for poor concentration, improves the renal function and has a hepatoprotective effect also with viral hepatitis, liver steatosis, fibrosis and cirrhosis. Finally, it modulates the sleep-wakefulness cycle, in particular while falling asleep, thanks to a possible sedative effect at central nervous system level.

To enhance all this, Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.), or lucerne, with a re-mineralizing and tonic action due to the quantity of amino acids, vitamins and minerals it contains. It has antioxidant and purifying properties and reduces cholesterol and triglycerides.

Finally, vitamin B12 acts on the homocysteine metabolism that contributes to keep within the correct levels, preventing excessive cholesterol to deposit in the blood vessels.

Take 5 g per day (equal to 1 scoop) with 50-60 ml of water, juice or other liquid, best between meals.
