HYDRO+ is a supplement based on whey hydrolysed proteins, very quickly assimilated and particularly recommended in post workouts.

Hydrolysed proteins are a mixture of more or less complex amino acids and peptides, obtained from the hydrolysis of an animal protein source that, in this case, are whey proteins. They are also called pre-digested proteins because the hydrolysis process seems to mime the digestive process, separating the peptides until individual amino acids are obtained thanks to the action of the digestive enzymes. This process allows preserving some important components that would be inactivated by acids or heat. A purer product is then obtained with less than 0.24% carbohydrates and less than 0.15% fat.

They are rich in Glutamine, a non essential amino acid that can stimulate protein synthesis, promoting an increase in muscle mass and water, amino acids and other substances entering the cells. During the recovery period, it favours the storage of muscle glycogen and can stimulate the secretion of GH. Glutamine is considered as being able to fight the overtraining syndrome (chronic fatigue, loss in weight, loss of appetite, minor infections, nausea, depression) and to play the role of energy support in quickly multiplying cells such as lymphocytes and macrophages. In the central nervous system, it is converted into glutamate that is the most important and widespread central excitatory neurotransmitter. Finally, Glutamine can detoxify and regulate the blood and urine pH.

Hydrolysed proteins are particularly effective in cases of milk protein intolerance, but they have numerous benefits for everybody. They are tolerated better at gastro-intestinal level, preventing bloatiness, flatulence and abdominal pain, and need shorter digestion times. Consequently, absorption is quicker, the insulin peak is higher and there is a larger flow of amino acids in the blood that allow speeding up recovery and exploiting the anabolic window at the end of the physical activity.
