ISO+ VEGETARIAN is a supplement whose protein source is only of plant origin. Consisting of pea and rice protein isolates, it is supplemented with vitamins, Magnesium, Iron and Zinc, as well as with the unique Oxxynea 5000 formulation (apricot, pineapple, red orange, apple, blackcurrant, papaya, white and red grapes, cherry, blackberry, grapefruit, strawberry, blueberry, melon, tomato, garlic, broccoli, carrot, onion, olive, wheat germ, green tea, asparagus and cabbage extracts) with a high antioxidant power.


Pea (Pisum Sativum, belonging to the Fabaceae or Leguminous family) is a legume with a good content of protein and fibre and poor in fat and carbohydrates. Pea proteins are obtained from a variety of yellow peas, similar to lentils, cultivated in many areas in Canada and China. They have a protein content equal to 20-25% of the dry substance and a very interesting amino acid profile. Considerable from a sports point of view is the combination of the amino acids Arginine, Lysine and Glutamine together with branched amino acids (BCAAs) for performance. Apart from containing essential amino acids, peas contain also good quantities of non essential amino acids. They are a good alternative not only for vegetarians, vegans or whoever wishes to avoid animal products, but also for those who suffer from intolerances or allergies. Another pro-pea point is their high solubility that makes them easy to use.

Another protein source in this product is Rice (Oryza Sativa). Rice proteins can be found in nature in the fraction of the whole rice grain and their production provides for wet milling initially. Then proteins are processed with fermentation cycles to remove the fibre from the whole rice grain. At the base of this process, there is the whole rice grain sprout that is the raw material used in the production process. Rice proteins are a very good alternative for people who are lactose intolerant, allergic to milk or for those who wish to avoid allergens such as eggs, wheat, gluten and soy. Rice is the best source of lean proteins. They are easy to digest and light for both bowel and stomach. Therefore, they are very good also for people that have chronic problems in this area. Unlike milk proteins, they have no cholesterol or sodium and reduce the negative effects due to their intake. Moreover, rice proteins contain also fibre, playing a prebiotic action and optimizing the absorption of sugar and the wellbeing of the bowel. The absorption of these proteins is quicker than other proteins of vegetable origin, so they are used more rapidly to rebuild and repair muscle tissue and improve recovery times significantly.

As a supplement to these protein sources, we find vitamin B6, contributing to the normal metabolism of both protein and glycogen, vitamin B12, for the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and vitamin C, for the protection of the cells from oxidative stress.

No less important are Magnesium, Iron and Zinc that, because of its properties, is a vital element for balanced body growth and for metabolism and therefore weight control.
