PRO PALEO+ combines the two main sources of protein—meat and eggs—into one unique top-quality mix that is rich in BCAAs (branched chain amino acids), highly digestible and lactose-free, gluten-free and contains no artificial sweeteners. It provides and maximizes the levels of all the BCAAs necessary to promote muscle growth and recovery and to improve the bioavailability and digestibility of this protein.

The hydrolyzed protein is a mixture of amino acids and complex peptides, obtained through the hydrolysis of an animal protein source—in this case beef protein. Hydrolyzed protein is also known as predigested protein because the hydrolysis process seems to mimic the digestive process, using digestive enzymes to split the peptides into individual amino acids. This process preserves some important components that would be otherwise inactivated by acids or heat.

Hydrolyzed protein is particularly effective for those who are intolerant to milk protein. It is also more easily tolerated at a gastrointestinal level, preventing bloating, flatulence and abdominal pain. This type of protein requires shorter digestion times, ensuring a more rapid absorption, which results in a greater insulin peak and a more rapid increase in amino acids levels in the blood. As a result, this speeds up recovery and helps you take advantage of the anabolic window after a workout.

There are also high amounts of vitamins and minerals in beef, especially B vitamins (Vit B1; Vit B2, Vit B6, Vit B12, PP, folic acid and biotin). Some of the more important ones include: iron, which is involved in the formation of the hemoglobin that carries oxygen around the body; and zinc, which contributes to the tissue formation and increases the inflammatory response, which supports a healthy metabolism. Lastly, the selenium present is involved in fat metabolism and eliminates toxic substances from the body.

The second protein source in PRO PALEO+ is egg protein, which has a very high biological value. In fact, the biological value (BV) index itself is actually based on whole egg protein. Egg white protein is also an alternative to whey protein. When compared to vegetable sources, egg white protein has a better amino acid profile due to the excellent balance of essential amino acids. It is a good solution for those who want to increase their protein intake without introducing excess lipids into their diet. The digestion time of egg protein is halfway between the fastest whey proteins and the slowest casein proteins, thus making it highly satiating.
