PRO SENSE+

PRO SENSE+ is a product specially designed for women’s needs. The plant-based proteins, vitamins and minerals are the basis of this product. This innovative mix also contains Richberry red fruit extracts, extracts from a plant adaptogen called Rhodiola and the enzyme complex Enzimix. This unique combination makes Pro Sense+ ideal to meet the specific needs of women who do sports and athletic training.

One of the plant protein sources used in this product is Pea Protein, Pisum sativum, which belongs to the Fabaceae or Leguminosae family. Peas are legumes that are high in protein and fiber, and low in fat and carbohydrates. Pea protein is derived from a variety of yellow peas, similar to lentils, grown in many parts of Canada and China. They have a protein content of about 20-25% of its total dry weight and a very interesting amino acid profile. It is also important in the sports world as the combination of the amino acids arginine, lysine and glutamine together with the branched chain amino acids (BCAA) are crucial for athletic performance. In addition to essential amino acids, this product also contains considerable amounts of non-essential amino acids. In fact, Pro Sense+ proves to be a good alternative not only for vegetarians, vegans or for those who prefer to avoid animal products, but also for anyone that is intolerant or allergic. Yet another advantage is their high solubility, which makes them very easy to use.

Another protein source in this product is the rice protein (Oryza Sativa, Gramineae family). The production of the rice protein, which is naturally found in whole rice grain, involves a unique procedure. It starts with the wet milling of the rice grains. Then, the protein is processed with fermentation cycles to remove the fiber from the whole brown rice grains. At the end of this process you end up with whole grains of sprouted brown rice, which is the raw material that is used in the production process. Rice protein is an excellent alternative for those who are lactose intolerant, allergic to milk, or for those who want to avoid allergens such as eggs, wheat, gluten and soy. Rice is the best source of lean protein. They are easy to digest and gentle on the stomach and intestines. They are also good for people who suffer from chronic problems related to the stomach and intestines. In contrast to milk protein, rice protein is cholesterol and sodium free and it also reduces the negative effects related to the consumption of these substances. Furthermore, rice proteins also contain fiber, which is a prebiotic and enhances the absorption of sugars and supports gut health. In addition, the absorption of these proteins is faster than other vegetable proteins, so they are used more quickly to rebuild and repair muscle tissue and significantly improve recovery times.

Yet another important protein source is derived from soy (herbaceous plant of the leguminous family, native to eastern Asia). It is very high in protein, which accounts for about 37% of its dry weight. It also supplies a significant amount of branched amino acids, arginine and lysine making it extremely valuable in both the maintenance and growth of muscle mass. Women especially use soy proteins quite often as they are an excellent source of calcium, iron, potassium, Omega 3 and fiber. Therefore, in addition to increasing lean muscle mass, soy protein also fights the formation of free radicals during exercise and facilitates a faster recovery.

To further support the protein sources in this product, we have also added Carnitine, an amino acid often used for its ability to convert fat into energy. In this case, it is also used to improve sports performance. Carnitine gets synthesized in the body from the amino acids lysine and methionine, when in the presence of Niacin, Vitamin B6, Vitamin C and Iron. Its most characteristic feature, however, is the transport of fatty acids into the mitochondria, which results in the production of energy. It has been proven that a shortage of this substance leads to the reduction of energy produced and the increase of fat tissue. Regarding the central nervous system, carnitine acts as an antioxidant by interacting with acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that seems to influence Alzheimer's disease. Carnitine also has benefits for your cardio and blood vessels. It increases peripheral vasodilatation helping to improve the flow of oxygen and oxygen distribution. Carnitine also helps lower cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood and raises HDL values, reducing the risk of deposits in blood vessels. Carnitine has been proven to lower the level of the lipoproteins responsible for heart attacks. Carnitine is also widely utilized in the sports world to improve athletic performance because of its ability to convert fats for energy use. Furthermore, during muscle activity carnitine reduces the formation of lactic acid and keeps glycogen in the muscles.

Another fundamental component of this product is the presence of fructooligosaccharides (FOS), soluble fibers present in various plants, fruits and vegetables. They have prebiotic effect, which is useful for the balance of intestinal bacterial flora. Prebiotics promote the growth and effectiveness of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus, two important bacterial species for digestive health. When taken as part of one’s diet, they can help inhibit the accumulation of fat and the absorption of dietary fat in the intestines.

To fight any damage caused by oxidative stress, a mix of red fruit extract, known as the Richberry, is used. It contains red grapes (Vitis viifera), pomegranate (punca granatum), strawberry (Fragaria vesca), cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpion), raspberry (Rubus idaeus) and European blueberries (Vaccinium myrtillus). Lastly, it also contains the Enzimix enzyme complex: an enzyme mixture made from fermented maltodextrin (Aspergilus oryzae), 1500DU amylase, 3000HUT protease, 2 AGU glucoamylase, 75FCCCLU lipase, 300CU cellulase, 500 ALU lactase, and 7-emdo-PG endofilasi.
