This process preserves some important components that would be otherwise inactivated by acids or heat. Hydrolyzed protein requires shorter digestion times, ensuring a more rapid absorption, which results in a greater insulin peak and a more rapid increase in amino acids levels in the blood. Thus, it is particularly suitable in the post workout phase to accelerate recovery.
