WHEY+

WHEY+ is a mix of protein derived from the liquid part, also known as whey, which is left over after cheese is made.


Compared to other protein sources (e.g. eggs, soy, wheat), whey protein has a higher branched amino acids content (leucine, isoleucine, valine), a superior biological value because of the high quantity of essential amino acids as well as better digestibility and consequently a more rapid absorption.


Because of these impressive characteristics, WHEY+ is able to stimulate protein synthesis and muscle growth, suppress protein catabolism, boost post workout recovery, stimulate the production of energy derived from amino acids and increase the release of insulin by decreasing the blood glucose levels after a meal.


The digestion of proteins occurs as the digestive enzymes break down the protein chains into shorter chains called oligopeptides, which are composed of amino acids. If the chains are composed of 2 to 10 amino acids, they are called oligopeptides. If they are composed of 10 to 100 amino acids, they are called polypeptides. When they are made of 100 or more, they are called proteins. The amino acids in the blood and extracellular fluid make up the amino acid pool. It contains amino acids that have been catabolized by other tissues as well as those that have been synthesized by the liver. In the amino acid pool there is a continuous movement between incoming and outgoing amino acids. The absorbed amino acids are essentially directed to two sites, the liver or other cells. The ones that go to the liver synthesize proteins.

Whey protein is considered fast protein since it is highly digestible and enters circulation quickly. Because of this, it is particularly useful immediately before or immediately after a workout as they can help increase muscle mass and strength and speed up recovery.

Usage

Mix three scoops (30g) with 200-350 ml of water, fruit juice or skimmed milk and take once a day. For best result take within 30 minutes after training.
